RTFUM (Read that Fine Upgrade Manual) you need .Net 4.7.2

You are correct (dummy me) !!

Although, it did allow me to install the software, register databases, do the pre-migration, etc. But only failed once it reached Generate Data Model. ( IMO, there should be something in the installation to check for this.)

BTW, 4.7.2 is Release values of 461808 or 461814.

@Rich wondering if the installer can check the pre-reqs?

The Installer used to check and we need to revisit why it is not currently. Admin Console was recently updated to check but that has not been back-ported to 300.

I find it interesting (perhaps in need of fixing) that the New Install Manual for 10.2.300 (Epicor10_NewInstallGuide_102300.pdf) says nothing about needing to separately install .NET Framework 4.7.2 on your app server - the only search results for 4.7.2 are in a brief mention covering SSRS requirements and the section covering doing a client workstation installation.
