32 vs 64 matters slightly because of how the fix program would be compiled, and based on the first post, he would be 32-bit, not 64-bit.
From that email:
Open Edge 10.2a - 32 bit
Epicor on server and clients - 32 bit

I’m thinking it would be easiest in your situation to make sure you specify both. I’m not certain that the 32bit vs 64bit DB really matters just Unicode non-unicode.
I’ve pretty sure they only care which version of the Epicor server is installed. They need to know that for fixes so they compile against the correct architecture.

I agree, you are almost certainly going to say "64-bit" because that is the version of SQL Server you have installed. You also need to know "Unicode" or "Non-Unicode"

You would be giving your database settings. For example we tell them we are SQL Unicode 64 bit.

I used to know this, but have forgotten. My environment is:
Windows Server 2008 - 64 bit
SQL Server 2008 - 64 bit
Open Edge 10.2a - 32 bit
Epicor on server and clients - 32 bit
When Epicor tech support asks me my environment for a one-off fix program, do I answer "9.05.607B SQL 32 bit" or "9.05.607B SQL 64 bit"?
Thanks,
