You have to install Crystal 8.5 on at least one client, the person
who will be testing the forms. You must set all the forms in the
new 5.2 to the originals epicor sent, within the System
Management/configuration management/report style. Then each form
must follow this procedure to insure that they are working
correctly. Print preview the original form within the new Vantage
5.2. Open Crystal Reports and open the modified form, Set location
of the dbf's to the new 5.2 temp directory on the hardrive. Mine
was C:VntgWrk52. Then verify the database. As long as everything
is ok, save the modified file into the 5.2 USERFORM directory and
then set the report style back to that form. Does that make sense?
You must do this to every form that you have changed. It's a pain,
I know...

Yes!,
5.2 does require 8.5.
Does anybody know what 6.0 and 6.1 require?
Thanks,
Jasper

Subject: [Vantage] 5.2 / Crystal 8.5 Q & A
Hey Ya'll:
I installed 5.2 onto a fresh server, copied over and restored my 5.1 data
and all is well except the print preview of my modified form(s).
Does 5.2 require a 8.5 level of Crystal be installed on the server and/or
onto the client(s)?
I'm having a brain-blank and any answers would surely (no pun) help.
TIA
RG
