After a lot of whining and moaning we got used to it. Adds nothing for us capability wise and despite Epicor's insitance that it is only a couple mouse clicks more it really does slow down BOM changes for us. After long discussions with Epicor we found that it was added to satisfy the requirements of certain industries (like medical devices) for tracking engineering changes and it would be too difficult to provide parallel systems. Here is one case were a new "capability" should have been an extra cost module (perhaps Advanced Engineering?) to be adopted only by those who need and want it. IMHO.
So like a pebble in your shoe its an irritation you get used to after a while.

Subject: [Vantage] 5.2 - Engineering Workbench opinions...
To all:
After some time now, what is the general opinion of the change to the
Engineering Workbench?
Does it simplify, streamline or add more capability?
Are the users generally for it, like it, or still have troubles?
I am on 5.0 and going to 5.1 then 5.2 very soon and any feedback at all
would be appreciated.
TIA
RG
