Norm,
I would create a macro that links the tables, extract what you need into
another table and delete the linked table. This way, the database is
small, and has only the information needed. This is what I find very
useful from MS-Access. You can associate that macro to a button, your
user clicks the button, and when done, ms access opens a table, form, or
report with information needed without any links to Vantage.
You can contact me off-line if you need more help on linking-importing
Vantage tables using a macro.

Subject: [Vantage]6.1 MS Access updating
The thread that ran last week about using MS Access for reports, etc.
intrigued me so I'm trying to use it for some reports. But I'm missing
something. I've successfully linked to the Vantage tables, built some
queries, but my information in Access is not updating as the Vantage Db
changes - so what am I missing?
Thanks,
