64 bit, problems printing crystal report with parameters

Could you please elaborate? Are you saying you install Crystal Reports XI R2 runtime, then Crystal Reports XI R2 .Net 3.0 Runtime (03_05_2008), then Crystal Reports XI R2 .Net 3.0 Runtime SP5? Doing this requires the previous version to be uninstalled first.  Â

Â
I have seen that before with the full product. We fixed it by installing the old service packs then installing each one on top of the old one.
There was something missing by going straight to service pack 5.

Â
Yes, I am and I have been successful in installing it. I can successfully run other reports but cannot run those with parameters.

Â
Are you running these reports through ODBC?

I ask because on a 64 bit machine it is a slightly different set up for
the ODBC driver.

Subject: [Vantage] 64 bit, problems printing crystal report with
parameters

I am reposting this question, because I have not found a solution yet
and there seems to be a lot more activity with the group now that the
holidays are over...

We are running Vista 8.03.408A and I am having problems with 64 bit
workstations (2 XP, 1 Windows 7) being able to print or preview a
Crystal report that has parameters. The pc has Crystal Reports XI R2
.net 3.0 RUNTIME SP5 installed.

If I try to print, the error is:

Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer
ActiveX control '8856f961-340a-11d0-a96b-00c04d705a2' cannot be
instantiated because the current thread is not in a single-threaded
apartment.

If I try to preview, the error is:

Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer
List of Values failure: fail to get values. [Cause of error: Failed to
open the connection.
Failed to open the connection.
UNKNOWN.RPT]

The report prints and previews fine on XP and Windows 7 32 bit
workstations.

Am I missing something in the installation process or is there something
else causing this problem? Can anyone provide a detailed install
proceedure for 8.03.408 on 64 bit workstations?

Thank you!
