8.03.409a: 1st article inspection of job ops

Rob, its been awhile since I did this in Vantage 8, and I'm sure you have already done this, but you flag the operation that has a first article and I believe specify the amount for the 1st article. It would then show in inspection processing as a first article inspection required. I dont believe there was anything that would prevent you from recording quantities until the inspection process was completed.
Â
Sounds like you are doing this and just not seeing anything in inspection processing?

Â
Correction of my typo: We are on on 409a.
Â
Any insight on this appreciated.

Thanks

Â

Anyone out there using this? My 1st test in our test db (1 pc for 1st article) resulted in a system error message in MES when starting activity on the set up for the OP (warning 1st article required before production could commence) - even though I was starting set up activity. Ignoring the error did allow me to start set up and then end activity at 100% set up complete. (I tried it with zero qty rpt'd complete as well as 1 pc.) - But nothing showing up in inspection processing 1st article queue. I then tried starting production activity (same message but it did allow me to start activity) and ended activity with 1 pc reported: Still nothing in 1st article inspection queue.
Â
Is this a known problem (and in fact, perhaps doesn't really function)?
