98 and Vantage 6

Our XP problems vary. On some of the machines, they freeze up frequently, and we haven't narrowed it down to any certain task or module and we don't have product configurator - it's on other things. Others lose their map to the Vantage folder (although I just saw from the group on about how to alleviate that problem). But I also have some XP's that seldom have a problem - and they are all the same PC model, etc.

I am also having problems with XP. Vantage just says
that it is our network. I then ask why 98 and 2000
machines work OK and they don't have an answer.

We are having problems in Product Configuator, where
is your XP client problems?

Are workstations running Windows 98 going to successfully run a Vantage
6 client? I am curious as I have only 6 clients left running 98 and was
actually hoping that 6 wasn't supporting 98.

We just started on 6.0 a couple of weeks ago and I am using a few WIN98 machines that seem to work just fine with it.
I actually have more problems with XP - locking up on us. (Sorry to disappoint you!)

The two things I do to XP PC's are 1) Reinstall the operating system which
gets rid of all the junk dell adds in and 2) turn off the "Task Scheduler"
service. Then they work just as good as 98 or 2000 PC's.
