Accessing menu maintenance

I have seen that also.

It start happening when I switched from Windows XP client to Windows 7.

I set Epicor client to always run as administrator:

Right Click Production Epicor shortcut, Click on Properties, Go to Compatibility tab. Under Privilege level check Run this program as an administrator.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. We just moved up to
9.05.702A and I was trying to access Menu Maintenance. I have Security
Admin rights. When I click on the menu option to open it, I get the
following error message:

Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Epicor
Software\Epicor905\Client\res\WebAccess.xml' is denied.

I've never seen this before. What would that file have to do with menu
maintenance anyway?

Hi Bethany,

Go to the client folder located on your system for the Epicor
installation (c:\program files\epicor....). Right-click in that folder
and give yourself modify access to the folder. This will provide you
with the ability to access menu maintenance.

Regards,

Sigfredo.

I have not seen this happen on every client and have only seen this
issue just with menu maintenance. Since not everyone will use menu
maintenance, you may only need to do this on those systems and only for
those people who will use menu maintenance if the issue occurs.
However, I have not seen this occur on every client.

Sigfredo.
