Ach

I am having a nightmare in trying to get all the fields populated to generate and ACH file. I actually found some instructions on this site. My problem is when generating the ACH there are some empty sections in the file which means I am missing a field somewhere. I have already found that the Tax ID has to come from the Company config and not the Bank (even though there is a place for it there) Does anyone have information on what specifically has to be populated?

Even though ACH is supposed to be a universal standard format, I can tell you form experience, that not all banks use the same ACH format. You can find the ‘standard’ format detailed in documentation easily found on the web, but you must go to the bank you are submitting to and request their documentation on ACH file formats. And you should ask for a technical contact and how to test your file (do they have a sandbox, or special account # or login). You can then work on adapting the file accordingly based on what your bank actually requires.

Epicor Compliance Engine - ask your CAM. This is a new thing for using BAQs as input and having a more easily modified output format specification that can be sued for all sorts of things. It was introduced to put the 1000+ file formats used for government reporting around the globe into our hands, versus the development team at Epicor. I thought it was going to be included if you have any CSF modules, but I’ve not seen any word about it since the last Insights conference.

Well after a lot of trial an error I have found the required fields to populate to get a NACHA file out to pay vendor invoices.

Bank Account > Detail tab [Account, Bank Name, checking account, Bank/Branch, Routing (Checking account Routing number), ID (Our Company Tax ID without the “-”), Entry Class (CCD), Service Class code (200), Tax Payer ID (Same as ID with the “-”)]

Supplier > Bank/Remit To tab [ Bank/Remit To ID, Bank/Remit To Name, Payment Method, Bank Account (Supplier’s bank account), Bank Identifier (Supplier Bank Routing Code), Bank/Branch, Bank Registration Code (same as Bank Identifier), Legal Name)

Company Config Detail Tab [Federal Tax ID (Your Taxid Number) NOTE: this is a bug and was fixed in version 11 early on. Prior to that the program pulls the TaxID from here.
