So, we have set up departmental Active Homepages which include all the day to day Apps that the departments use but i have a couple of questions.
Can you stop users from making changes themselves to the Active Homepages
If you cant and users have made changes, is there anywhere that you can see these personalisation’s?
If users have made changes and you have to update the default Active Homepage for that department, what happens to the changes they have made and because they essentially created their own Active Homepage, will it get updated?
AFAIK, there’s no good way other than BPMs to do shared tabs plus personalization - it’s all or nothing. meaning, one layout with many tabs, not tabs by dept or group, for example. So you can design and publish entire layouts and name them by dept, but creating these by pulling tabs from one layout to another would be all done manually in the xml or something like that.
