Activex error with Citrix Metaframe XP

I did intstall Progresss Client, Report Builder, and Query Results on
the Citrix server as the intsllation guide from Epicor.

I did not install Vantage on the Citrix server.

The error is happening every morning when users login. So I did
schedule to reboot the server early in the morning to avoid the
problem for now.

The Citrix was working fine for two years since the first
installation and i did not change anything but suddendly the error
occurs

Thanks,

Hi,

We keep having this error every day. The only solution we can do
right now is to restart the server.

I did try to uninstall Progress Client and reinstall it but did not
help.

The Progress is 9.1C and Vantage 5.1

Any idea?

Please

Thansks,
We had a similar problem when we were on 91c and Vantage 5.1. We are
using Citrix 1.8 though. I believe there is a program called regocx.exe
that registers your ocx files. Before you run it I would give Ben Nixon
a call at Vantage Tech support. He will be able to help you. Ben is on
the road a lot so he is had to get on the line.

Where in Vantage does the error occur?

Good Luck,

John Mansfield

On Citrix/Terminal Server installations you shouldnt have the Progress Networking Client installed. You should install a full version of Progress on the Citrix Server. There are detailed instructions on the Epicor web site.
Thanks
Jeremy

I am having the same issue with my test environment. I have a separate
host for test environment and in the past set up a published app for
testing remotely, etc. However, since upgrading to Metaframe XP I've
had the same issues. I was told to run the client installation on the
server under a different name referencing my test host, but to date have
not had time to do so. I ran the regocx.exe and it hosed the rest of
apps, so I had to run unregocx to undo the previous changes. Is it
advisable to install a second client on the server under a different
installation name? This is what Vantage support told me anyways.
