Subject: [Vantage] Adding a UD field to a Crystal Report

We have a custom Packing Slip designed in Crystal. I need to add a UD
field to this report. I see that a report style was created in the
report maintenance screen and a custom Crystal Report was created but
how do the 2 interact? I'm assuming Epicor creates an xml that the
report reads and then displays on the screen but I'm not sure what the
missing pieces are. Thanks in advance.

You're looking for the report data definition (RDD), add your UD field
there. Browse through report tables in that screen, excluded fields
tab, and move it from the excluded to included side. The report style
screen links the RDD (which generates the XML) to the crystal report.
You'll need to preview the report once with the new RDD before you can
add that field to the crystal report. For more details, look in the ICE
Tools book.

Brian.
