Am here to answer any questions. Yes , I tried to populate the grid with data.
It seems like the system grid would not display once a custom field was entered. I followed the guide which seemed to work on earlier versions exactly. It is reassuring to hear that someone else is experiencing similar issue on this version. 2023.1.10.
Anything else I can try to make this work ? Should it be reported as a bug ?

It would not display the system grid with just adding a custom field without data either… To answer your question.
Start over on a new layer.
Go to the grid in App Studio.
Click Data, Grid Model.
Click Columns.
Click (+)
Add your field in Field.
Save the layer.
Preview.
Open a quote.
Is the column there? Did it populate your lines?
If so, we can move on.

I created a fresh layer, the data , gridlayer options I could not see. I clicked on DataView , pulled up OrderDtl , and added a new column / field TotalAvailable. See below.
Saved , Ran , NO lines show up after adding a new column to the grid without trying to tie any data to it.
Am I missing something fundamental with Data , Grid Layer ? these option I could not find in any menus.

You have to click on the grid. It’s in the properties for the grid.
Start over.
OK , investigating further on the data , grid layer , steps to adding a column , I found the path of adding a column via the properties instead of the dataview ( using the + to Add a column to the DataView.).
Saved , Run , and the Lines DO display without data binding to the New column / field. I will continue with the testing , binding my BAQ field to the New column / field.
If this does resolve my issue , I do appreciate your patience with me. I hope this thread helps others trying to Add a Column via the DataView Add option.

I have a similar issue. I added a UD field in the grid and no other changes after a system update, it had no issues previously. I still get the grid with no lines showing.
What solved the no lines issue for me was where I added custom field to the Grid. Not in the Dataview , but in the properties. Read through that portion of this thread to see if it helps you. (Solution in the response from other member.)
