Adding PR's to Report Style Maintenance

I don't lnow if your goal is to just get a RB report onto the Vantage menu
or if your goal is something else. Under your Master file menu in most
modules there is a selection for custom report links. In general terms, you
build your report, open custom report links and add the report there. Then
using MENU STRUCTURE MAINTENANCE, you can add this report to any location on
the vantage menu. Both steps were pretty intuitive. Additionally, What
I've done is remove access to the custom report link to the System Utilities
menu only. You certainly don't want free access to some reports, by
restricting it to System Utilites you can control who can use what report.

Has anyone found a way to add progress reports to the Report Style Maintenance list?

Tech support said I should talk to Custom Programminng. Has any group member gone down this path before?

Steve,
I don't use the Progress reports but I have added various Crystal Reports
in Report Style Maintenance -- specifically to allow for variations of
similar
forms used by my different companies...

No, the software won't let you. It's not really in keeping with the
functionality that Report Maintenance was intended to provide.

Now what would be nice... If you could specify an arbitrary program to be
called, after Vantage does its regular "export to DBF" thing. That would
open up a lot of options for interfacing more complex add-ons, such as
shipping label processing, interfacing with UPS software, printing CAD
drawings along with travelers, etc. (There's some indication that Epicor
has considered adding this; check the data dictionary for UserSubF.)

What are you trying to accomplish? If you just want to make reports
available, you can do it via the Custom Report Link. But the Report
Maintenance is only supposed to be an easy route to customizing the
standard forms.
