Adding PR's to Report Style

".w" files are uncompiled progress programs.
".r" files are compiled progress programs.
What do you gain by creating a report builder version of the PO form that
you can't get with the crystal form or modifying the crystal for your own
format? I think you are getting off track here?

We had a Purchase Order made in report builder, and we want the users to be
able to print P.O.'s using the print button on the Purchase Order Entry
screen. Report Style shows that a progress version of the P.O. exists at
PM\PMF10.w. I used windows explorer to try and find that file, in hopes of
replacing it with our new P.O. report. Unfortunately the closest match to
PMF10.w that I can find is PMF10.r . Is this .r file related? If I rename
it, and then place my new P.O. report in that directory (renaming it to
PMF10.r), will it be activated by the print command button?

Steve -

I am replying via the list since I know many users share this question.
Yes, you can call Report Builder or Results from the Vantage menus.
This may NOT always done through report style maintenance - let's
first figure out what the full need is.

A few questions:
1. Which one (Report Builder or Results) are you trying to do?
2. Are you needing to pass filter data dynamically?
3. Will the user that is running a Report Builder or Results report
have the Progress component (ie., Report Builder or Results) installed
locally on their machine?

Has anyone found a way to add progress reports to the Report Style
Maintenance list?
Tech support said I should talk to Custom Programminng. Has any group
member
gone down this path before?

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,
please go to the following link: http://www.egroups.com/files/vantage/
(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go
to www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My
Groups, choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password, the
link above will work the next time you try it.)
