We use it extensively for tracking WIP, it works pretty good, but it's a
little buggy in our version and has some basic design flaws in my
opinion, but.. it is workable.

We are installing both APS and AMM - just in test at the moment - yes,
AMM provides constrained materials, which was the main reason we bought
it.

Is constrained material is tied to this module too?

When we got familiar with the data entry requirements, we decided it was
too much for our shop environment.
