Have you been through any prototyping? If not...I would strongly
encourage it.
HHMES - There are several limitations...probably could write a book.
I know there is a user group and a few companies that are working
with Epicor to improve it...but will probably not be available until
Epicor 9.0
AMM - If your plans are to use it for standard issue and return from
MES...it is good.
Two things to note.
1. WIP Movement still does not work; which is a real bummer!!!
2. When the Shop Floor Employee Issues/Mass Issues or Returns, etc.
it does not write to the Part Tran table the Shop Employee ID.
Instead it uses the DCDUserID attached to the Shop Employee. So for
real tracking of "who did it" is not there. That is unless each and
every shop floor employee is setup with a user account on the
application side. We have generic user accounts designating the
area. So we have customizations, but isn't perfect. Once Capture is
run, it wipes out how we are storing the Shop Employee ID to the Part
Tran.
Thanks
