AP Payment CheckHed

It would be nice if Epicor would come up with a way to correct this easier.
I am sure almost every company has made this mistake, including ours.

__________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature

The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

So my AP Person made a mistake a few months ago, that has been causing
problems and just now I have been told about it. Turns out that out of the
blue AP Payment Process is no longer showing the correct check number (in
sequence) which is strange because this has always worked ok, except a few
months ago it started to not work.

No one told me this, until recently, in investigating I foudn the problem,
back in July we issued a check for $28056.08 which we accidentaly changed
the check number to match that number, so since then all the "Next Payment"
keep loading as 2805609 they have been overriding it manually.

I ran a query and I see this is the only record that was entered wrong, do
we know if CheckNum, is a Key? if not does anyone know if chaning the
CheckNum would hurt anything?
