AR Electronic Payment

Sadly, when trying to compile the new .p I get a ton of errors; looks like the environment doesn't really support it.  This is even when I complie the stock .p file too, so it looks like Epicor doesn't want you to touch these.
I've looked back through various threads and found that many folks are using EasyACH for this, but in poking around (specifically in the \Epicor904\Server\ei folder) I discovered "payment-JPMC.p", which produces a very lovely NACHA-formatted output file. The only problem (just a minor little tweak, I'm sure) is that it won't spit out payment detail lines. Just the File Header Record line, the Batch Header Record line, and the File Control Record line.

Since there are both .p and .r files, I'm assuming Epicor really uses the .r (compiled) file, and the .p is just there for reference and useless unless you have a Progress AppBuilder license.

However, the .p file has all the information to create the Entry Detail Record lines. Anyone have any idea why they don't appear to work? I have a call in to support, but so far they seem, um, not lightning-quick in their response. If I DO get an answer I'll post it here.

Got a reply from Epicor Support:

Good afternoon Ernie,

I did a little research on this issue and found out this is a known issue for the payment-JMPC.p file with SCR number 90748. This SCR has a target patch for it to be solved in version 9.05.701 which comes out this month.

I guess we'll see.

Hello,

I'm trying to make changes to this .p file but none of the changes propogate when actually run so I'm thinking the changes really have to be made in the .r file.  Does anyone know what I can use to edit that?
must use the .r file.
that must be compiled and you need some developer environment for that.

best best is to get epicor/3rd party to devleop
