I’m getting the same error.
Poking at it.

One trick i was shown for Cloud Customers - change the report style output to XML.
Run the report (generate only) and then use the “Server File Download” to download the xml and scan the schema to make sure you have the field name spelled correctly, and the field data is present.
Let me give that a try real quick
That field doesn’t belong to that table. Some funny business going on here.
Interesting, what would you recommend doing instead?
I may have it. Testing now.
Not yet, but I made the error go away
I was able to get the xml file to view. I don’t see that column field listed anywhere
So, now you know it’s a RDD problem. Is the Report Style using your modified RDD?
yes it is
I see the boxes are checked above. You need to clear the box to include the field - unless something has changed since 2021.2.
I’m not sure we can do it.
ShipToContactName
is a calculated field. (Which works) (In the report already)
Just unexcluding it doesn’t work.
You can make a calculated ShipToContactPhoneNum
, but you can’t populate it.
(This does however make the error go away )
If you could bring down ShipToCustNum
you could link to Customer… but you can’t because it’s already in the list of tables.
No way to make a table alias is there?
Didn’t work out.
Linked tables maybe?
Not available for it.
I have tried adding the ShipToCust table as a Linked Table to the InvcDtl and picked field PhoneNum and included that in both the Dataset Field in SSRS report as well as to the Dataset Query but I keep getting the Sold To/ Bill To PhoneNum value instead
Let’s see how you linked that and what your query looks like.
