Auto Complete/Close

We’re on 905.702A and only have one Complete parameter and one Close parameter.  Both have been marked as Default in the setup so that you don’t have to assign them to the Product Groups.

We are on 8.03.408a and the parameters for auto complete and close is found in Production Management || Job Management || Setup || Job Complete/Close Parameters.

 

When you create your closing codes, you then must select them on Product Groups.  These product groups are assigned to specific part records. Any jobs that manufacture these parts can then be automatically completed or closed.

 

One thing we found is that if your job contains any non-quantity bearing items, it will not auto complete or close.  The reason, which I don't agree is right, is that the system always sees the non-quantity bearing item as a quantity of zero and this will cause the quantity and cost to be 100% out of tolerance.  I think the system should be smart enough to know that the part will always be zero and ignore it when determining if the job falls withing the parameters to auto complete or close.
