What is the interval measured in? Seconds, minutes etc

I have a few BAQ's exporting round the clock in our Vantage System.
First create and define the schedule. In order to export the BAQ go to
and open System Management -- Utilities -- Business Activity Query
Export Process. Search and find your query ID or just type it in. Next
select your output format, xml or csv. Give it a file name. Then
select the schedule you want to add it to which would be the one you
previously created. Next hit submit. That should be all you have to
do. If you are having troubles getting your Schedule to run make sure
you defined a date & time for it to start. No matter what interval you
select it will need a date & time start time. Then if all else fails
just restart your appservers.

How do you set up a BAQ to export on a schedule?

I have found the scheduled bit in System Agent but cant figure out how
it will
only export the baq I need on a regular basis.

Once you've tied a task (such as a BAQ export) to a recurring schedule
process
set, it will run per your schedule (as it runs on the server). You don't
have to
log in to a client session.

Hopefully, someone will have an answer. I was told by Epicor support a
year or
so ago that scheduled tasks happen upon user login. I had scheduled a
daily
report to run and the only way it ever would run is when I logged in. As
far as
emailing the report, you could use APM to automate that process.

I honestly hope there is a work around for this.

I gave up trying to use the scheduled task to run reports. It's too unreliable.

I've got a piece of software from a company called jeff-net that will create your report, email/print/file it for you on a schedule . It doesn't rely on a user being logged in and works without fail.

I don't want to fly the flag about this product too much but it has saved a lot of time and aggrevation!

Are these scheduled activities set up as user "manager" and therefore not user-dependant? If these are reports that MUST go out every day I think it would be wise to set them up with manager as the user so that anyone leaving the company will not see the associated schedule disappear.

I created a user with manager privledges. I named them something to
coinside with the report or schedule they were responsible for. I
logged in as them, set up the schedule, made sure it was running
correctly then logged out. I haven't touched it since.
