When I create a purchase order in Epicor 10.2.700.3, add a new line, and type the part#, I hit return to display that part information. Realizing I made a mistake, I backspace the part# beyond the length of the part# (for Part# 4471, I would hit the backspace key 5 times). For some odd reason, Part# STCT-BD40102H22-2S-14-MLC shows up. Has anyone seen this before? It has been around since 2019 in previous versions as well. Thanks Tony
Internal part cross reference?
Please elaborate so I can provide some feedback.
Are there any internal part cross references on the unexpected part?
Or any customer or supplier part xrefs for that matter?
I have seen something like this before and it could very well be an internal part cross reference like others have pointed out.
In that table, there are cross references, and you could have one that was mistakenly made using a blank cross reference that points to this part.
There is a table called “PartXRefInt” (part x reference internal) that holds the data. (there are two other similar called PartXRefMFG and PartXRefVend which you could also check)

I created a BAQ to show all the data in my PartXRefInt… you can show both the real and the cross reference part. I would add a filter and select your special part above to see if there is a blank cross reference against it.
Hi Tim, that was the guidance I was looking for. I queried the 3 tables. PartXRefInt and PartXRefMfg have 0 records. PartXRefVend has 1,629 records, but none of the parts are blank. There are no records with “STCT” in the part number fields (there are 3 of them). Checked them all.
