BPM to check ship from job qty

To be honest not much of anything has been accomplished because I don't have
any experience with BPM I'm reading the users guide right now trying to
figure out BPM.

Hello all,



I'm working on a BPM (my first) to take the QTY that has been entered as the
amount to ship off a job and then calculate the number of items the job has
actually completed and subtract the number of items that have already been
shipped. And if the ship qty is higher than this amount to pop up an error
message saying that this is not allowed.



I have a BPM in place that basically does this but the only problem is that
I can only put in a static number to check the ship QTY against. How would I
change it so that it does the calculation as described?
