Calculate ABC Codes

We do cycle counting on a daily basis and run calculate ABC codes before
every count.

Just out of curiousity...are there any inventory people out there who
are cycle counting inventory on a regular basis. If you do....how

We made an arbitrary decision based on the number of parts in our inventory
and it's value, that we would calculate ABC codes quarterly (at a minimum)
or every other month depending on activity. We have only about 3000 parts
in our part master, it takes 5-7 minutes to run the calculate function.
Been using cycle counting for 3 years+ and it is now a well-oiled machine.
We did audits every month the first year to account for "what happened to
make this count incorrect", plugged a lot of holes in our process.

Accounting dept. and CPA firm are happy, we pass CPA audit once a year, ISO
twice a year, don't have to shut down to count! Works great.
