I have a part in Vantage 8.03.408a that I cannot make inactive.  There is no stock or demand on the part.  Any ideas on what else I can look at to figure out why I can't make it inactive?

Boy from what I remember, run the conversion on part onhand qty to make sure it is truly zero on hand….I remember finding a bin with a negative quantity that affected this as well but did not show (and now of course I don’t remember why it did not show)

I just had this same issue.  I am assuming you first checked Part Tracker / On-Hand; then Part Transaction History; then Stock Status Report... all of them showing zero on-hand.


I found my on-hand in Part Advisor / On-Hand.  Somehow I had an on-hand quantity in an empty bin (empty defined as NO Bin ID).  I had to get a 1-off Fix from Epicor.  Once the fix was run, the on-hand quantity showed up everywhere, however the Bin ID was still blank (not an issue).  I was then able to make the necessary adjustments to correct this inventory to zero and then mark my part as inactive.


You will also want to run the conversion to fix up your allocations and everything else.
