904.504 - 507A - can't inactivate part numbers

We have several part numbers, both purchased and manufactured type, which we can't inactivate (checkbox is greyed out) No inventory on hand, nothing in inspection, no active PO lines or SO Lines, or Quotes. No demand from Time Phase, etc.
Â
Anyone else running into this?

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
No open nonconforming or DMR records? Nothing stuck in WIP?

I know it's usually worthless, but anything in the Application Help about when you can or can't set the Inactive flag?

How about under the description in the data dictionary?

How about a BAQ of the PartTran for those parts just to see when they were last referenced?

Just my $0.02.

No, not a thing in Inspection/DMR and no jobs calling for that part whatsoever.

Thanks, yes I ran a query and it shows nothing different from any other part we have been able to inactivate, both for purchased and manufactured. Last transaction is usually pur-stk or in some cases adj-qty

If the last part trans was a PUR-STK, then there must be some qty in inventory. I don't think you can in-activate a part with a non-zero QOH. Otherwise those parts would forever be on the SSR and the GL.

Yeah, I just cant see any QOH anywhere. even on the quantity adjustment screen when I bring in the part number it doesnt display any bins (even though sometimes we have seen lot controlled items with zero quantity still showing on hand which we have had to fix)

Does the Part Tran History net to zero for each of those parts?

We had a an issue (right after our conversion from V4 to V8) where some locations/bins got smurfed. The QOH looked like zero (as no bins had any values).

Is it possible that you have zero QOH because you have 10 in bin 'A', and -10 in bin 'B'?
