Cancel a PO - Email found in subject - Email found in subject

In E9 there is a visualization change to the icon that once again shows you. You're right about Vista/Vantage, that's been an annoyance for some time.

The other nice thing about using the memo field instead of comments is that you can add memo's post PO closing. Otherwise with comments you have to reopen the PO/Line and then remember to close.

Just a heads up on memos, I like the memo's as well, but with the newer
versions of Vista / Vantage, there is tell tale way to know that there
is a memo unless you click on it.

In the old versions they used to have a chevron (>>) to show that there
were notes.

Ken and Manasa thanks so much for your replies.

I have relayed your current processes to our ops mgr. I had not looked
into that memo'ing business at all yet, and it does look like a nice
technique for placing easy to access extraneous info. It seems like a
good idea to categorize properly for decent recall later.

Thanks

Hello,

We are trying to determine a best practice for PO cancellation within Epicor 9. If you currently use epicor and occasionally need to cancel a PO how do you go about it?

Thank you,
Nancy
We usually put comments in the header as to why it was cancelled, zero
out the unit cost, and then manually close the releases, lines, etc...

Very simple...
