Canned reports not working

MAke sure you don't have different custom Report Style (That is not Standard) that may be using a customized version of the report or the pointer is where its supposed to be pointing to.
check Menu Maintenance on the report as well to verify path.

A user just brought to my attention, that one of our 'canned' reports
that came wiuth the system, the Open Purchase Orders report, is
suddenly not working, and no changes have been made to it that i am
aware of. We have a PILOT environment that we use to test upgrades
before we implement into production. The report works fine in that
environment. However, I have no idea how to copy this report inot our
production environment. Has anyone else had to do this? Thanks.
I believe that report is OpenPO.rpt.

Make sure it's in your production environment's server\reports folder. If it's not there, copy it from PILOT.

did u guys apply a patch recently? sometimes the part to a report resets to default.

I wanted to state the sometimes not-so-obvious........

Assuming your PILOT and LIVE environments are on the same physical
server, as they usually are, they all share the same
mfgsys803\server\reports folder.

Therefore, if it's not working in PILOT, it shouldn't work in TEST or
LIVE.

And always make sure any changes you make to a 'canned' repot are saved
separately from the 'canned' reports. I always make a subfolder under
mfgsys803\server\reports and store all my customized forms and reports
there prefaced with my company's initials.

I believe that report is OpenPO.rpt.

Make sure it's in your production environment's server\reports folder.

Have you looked in your system monitor to see the results of the report
process? Often times I will get such a complaint from a user and looking
in the System Monitor will show you the results 'no records selected'.
It kind of stinks that V8 gives no user feedback on report printing. If
the criteria selected when running the report yields no records you get
nothing. No dialog that tells you there is nothing to print, it just
doesn't do anything.

Sorry to be a dummy, but i do not know how to run preview from the system monitor. Vantage's help isn't much help either.

 When I look at the history tasks tab, detail tab in the system monitor, I get a task error reading: "failed to locate program:reports/OpenPO". I look in our mfgsys803\Server\reports folder on the server, and OpenPO.rpt is there.Â

Go to System Management --> Company Maintenance --> Report Style

Pull up the Open Purchase Order Report and make sure that the report
you are using points to 'reports/OpenPO.rpt'
