New install of Vantage Server 8.03/Progress 10.1b - Can't view r

The problem seems to occur only on reports that have to reference a .XLM
datasource when it goes to display it. The reports that generate just a
.TXT file run/view just fine. Anyone have any ideas?

I may have spoke to soon. Most of the canned reports are now working but
I've got an error on the "scheduled shipments" reports that it gets to where
is says "retrieving data" and then an error pops up that says "Load failed"
and down in the detail it says "Inner Exception...The system cannot find the
path specified". Most of the other canned reports in Vantage are working
fine. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

Make sure all 3 are using the new server paths.(I suspect this is the real

I've created a development server to do testing with and everything is
working good except when we try to run a report we get an error that states
"Could not find part of a path C:\MfgsysData\Reports\mabell\yada yada yada".
I see on the actual Vantage server that this path/file it is looking for
exists but I think the report is actually looking on the "local machine's C
drive" for this path which doesn't exist. How do I "repoint" vantage to use
the server path to find the data versus the local machine path? Thanks in
advance!

Under Report Styles you'll set the path for the .rpt file. It's relative to your Epicorxxx/server/reports folder.

I think this is only the path to the actual report file. I have no problem
bringing up the report on the vantage client. It's just AFTER I hit the
print preview, I get the message that it can't find the path to the .XML
data that it needs. I think it is looking for it on the local PC hard drive
but it actually exists on the server. I can't seem to figure out how to
"repoint" the report to get the resultset for the report off of the server
instead of the client. If I run the client app from the server machine,
everything works. Any ideas?

Report Styles is under System Management -> Company Maintenance in E9, and I think it was in the same place in 8.

If you're having trouble w/ the XML, then it might be the System Agent that needs updating (Company Maintenance -> Utilities). Set your server file and client file directories accordingly.
