We have a sales order that we need to correct a part number on one of seven lines. It is a make direct line that has an advanced billing processed on it already. When we unlink the job and try to change the part number, we get the error “Cannot change Part. This line has Reserved or Allocated quantity.” I went into the Fulfillment workbench and there is a line for that order line. I selected it and tried to do the Unallocate and Unreserve but it doesn’t seem to do anything. No error and we still can’t change the part number.
Go into the Sales Order and try to uncheck the “Ready to Fulfill” checkbox (it should be under the Ready To Process checkbox). That is what allows the order to be “fulfilled” using the Fulfillment Workbench. Then try to make the change to the part. If you want it to be fulfilled, then you need to re-check the checkbox after you have made your change.
The ready to fulfill box wasn’t checked. I tried checking, saving and then unchecking and still get the same error.
Check the ‘Part Allocation’ tab in Part Tracker.
Retrieve in Part Allocation doesn’t bring up anything under the right or wrong part number.
Can you do a BAQ on the PartAlloc table and check for any records for that SO# or Job# in question?
Also you could try running the refresh
Thanks everyone for the ideas. I dumped everything over to PILOT and tried the refresh and it worked. Seems like the kind of thing to run at night on Production. Thanks Randy.
