Change RB reports 5.2 to 6.1

The funny part of all this is if you mound the same report into
Vantage in a menu the errors don't come up when a user runs the report.

I preparing to convert our 5.2 Db to 6.1, and in the process of pointing
reports to the 6.1 Db, I'm getting errors when the Part and Order Head
tables are in the report indicating that the format (number of decimal
points) for certain fields has changed. These fields are not in my
report
(display fields or calculations). What needs to be done to not get the
error when opening the reports in RB?

This didn't work for us. I was told it was an issue of field size and
what report builder will display. Or some such ilk...to be honest, I
forget now.

Every report that uses Part...I've learned to click six times really fast. At least the user never sees this when reports are run. Epicor increased some field sizes for currency and unit of measure conversions knowing RB was going away and figured the minor PITA was acceptable.

Ooops..should have added to previous post. There are several new fields that have names you might have used in formulas. If so RB chokes really bad. I had to edit the reports against the 5.2 DB and change my formula field name, save it, then re-open against the 6.1 DB to continue making changes. I think it was also at this point (or was it from 4.0 to 5.0???) that a bunch of qty fields changed name to "OurQty" or something like that and many formula fields using qty fields had to be fixed up.
