Changing Quick Search ID to another User

We have a Quick Search ID that is unshared and assigned to another user who is out from work for awhile. We need to get access to this Quick Search, but are unable to since its unshared. I have tried writing a UBAQ to update the UserID and Shared checkbox, but am getting this error: " This quick search is not accessible, a non-shared Quick Search with this ID belongs to another user." We are also unable to load it directly in Quick Search Maintenance.
Has anyone ran into this or know a way around it?

Hmm… doesn’t seem to have an option to change the user. Quickest workaround would be to reset that user’s password. Then log in with his/her username and share the search.
