Check Printing Groups

I have had similar issues, but only after installing crystal.

ED, CR is not a recent install. We installed it when we upgraded to 5.2 in
December of 2003.

Richard, the problem occurs on different pc's, with and without CR installed
locally.

Have you recently install crystal reports? If so grab the updates off the
crystal site and apply them. Your problem should go away.

We're having a problem printing groups of checks in the "AP Payment Entry".
If we create a payment group and select more than one invoice to print, the
checks print fine, but the header information from the sidlabls.dbf and the
aptran.dbf tables do not print. If we select just one invoice to pay, the
check and header information print fine.

I can duplicate the problem on multiple pc's and multiple printers. I
thought that the CR chkprint.rpt might be the problem so I copied an
original version of the file from a new 5.2 install, with the same results.

Nothing has changed to my knowledge (but obviously something is different).
There have been no upgrades/patches to Vantage/Progress, or the pc's in
question. The problem has occurred at 2 separate sites, running separate
installs of Vantage, with no link between them other than our Corporate
offices running Vantage remotely through PCAnywhere.

Does the problem appear on some PCs but not others?
I have identified a problem with Crystal documents not printing 'repeating
fields', e.g. detail lines on statements, cheques etc when multiple
statements, cheques etc are selected to print.
PCs that give this problem have had both Vantage AND Crystal loaded on them.
Our solution has been to uninstall Crystal from the PC and suddenly all is
OK.
I think it's a .dll problem but haven't pursued it much further.
