Over the past few weeks I have been spending a lot of time building configurators for a couple different product lines and absorbing as much as I can from the Configurator Technical Reference Guide as well as all of the resources on the ELC and in the hands on guides.
Your response put me on the right track and saved me a lot of headache in my initial setup, and I’ve come a loooooong way from day one, that’s for sure! Thanks again.
We are setting up some sessions for further Configurator training coming up next week, which I think will be really beneficial and answer a lot of outstanding questions we still have regarding it, as we go live in a couple of months.
If you don’t mind my asking, how often are you guys modifying your configurators as the BOM/methods change?
One of our biggest concerns is the amount of time and effort that will be required to manage configurations. We have a lot of processes and parts that change on the fly day to day, and we have concerns that this is going to be difficult to manage once we go-live.
