I recently updated from 10.1.400.19 to .23. The update was problem free on our Test and Production environments.
But after updating the Demo environment, I got an error while running the required data conversions.
Conversion ID: GenerateEntityGLC
Description: Generates missing EntityGLC records for AR Invoices
Run Log: 2/17/2017 9:06:27 AM : Program Ice.Services.Lib.RunTask raised an unexpected exception with the following message: RunTask: Conversion program 'GenerateEntityGLC' has already been run on 10/21/2016 7:29:32 PM.
Since there appears to be required conversions still pending, I can’t run the Demo environment.
I’ve opened up a case with support, but its been 24 hours and the only update is that its been assigned to a Customer Service Rep.
Any way to force run that conversion again? Or a way to have it be ignored?
Demo environment, as in the EPICOR demo data and training database? Can I ask - is there any reason you are upgrading it? Why not just delete the DB and app server, and re-create it from scratch? There shouldn’t be any important data in there.
It’s probably a horrible but reason, but i guess, “It seemed like the thing to do”. I just wanted to make sure that the Demo DB would act just like our Production DB. Plus I didn’t want to have to keep client files for the two different versions.
Digging deepr, it looks like the DEMO DB had been orginally installed at rev .13, then was update to .19 when the Production was updated to .19. But the conversions were never run on the demo DB. Then the demo db was updated to .23. But the conversions required for .19 were never run.
