We accept credit cards and we have set up a credit card customer which the
inside sales people are supposed to use so that the controller can track and
know which orders have to be called in for payment. The problem is that if
they enter a quote under the customer's regular acct # and then try to enter
the sales order under the credit card #, it can't be done. Engineering
wants to keep the quote history and the sales person doesn't always know it
is going to be a credit card until after the quote is reviewed and the
customer decides to put in the order. How do other companies handle credit
card orders?
