Matt- Not sure what to think at this point, especially if other people like
you are running CRM successfully. I did follow the same steps that you
describe below so I'm not sure how I would have got the install screwed up.
What version of Vantage are you on? Based on Epicor's response, however
(reference call # 841849PSC which says 'It is being worked on by a developer
and has not yet been assigned to a patch'), it sounds like they are
admitting there is a problem with CRM performance which they are working on
a fix for. Probably will not help us on 5.2 though.

Tim, I think you may have hosed the install, if you tried all the conversion
utilities including 6880 (I had to run this manually...it did not run with
the upgrade), then I'm not sure Epicor can/will or you'd want them to try to
fix it. If you start over my notes show : upgrade, setup master file
defaults, run the 6880 conversion (then spend several hours trying to get
sales to use CRM). Once loaded, movement between screens on the workbench
is normal.

I think we could live with 10 seconds to get into the Sales Person workbench
but not 2-3 minutes, and the fact that if you go to any other tab within the
Sales person workbench it's about 2 minutes. Again, this is on test server
which is just a Pentium III with 540 mb of RAM (plenty of disk) but I am try
to do the testing right at the server with no one else on it and like I
said, every other application in Vantage runs perfectly fine (not as fast as
our live server but acceptable). We do have 6 years of Vantage data
(including Quotes and Orders) plus a few years of this data we converted
from Classic, so I don't know if the fact that our database is large (about
5.5 GB after backup) is the problem or what. I'd definitely be afraid to
activate on the live server until we get it figured out (it also seems to
slow search performance within the quote modules). Anyway, still waiting to
hear back from Epicor it so I'll let everyone know when I learn something.
