Open the standard form, and check the file joins using the "Visual Linking
Expert." Then make sure the link structure is the same in your modified
form. I've seen Crystal jumble the links on occasion. Esp if you're
trying to use your old 3.0 form with 4.0.

Also... someone asked earlier today about converting Vantage 3.0 Crystal
forms to 4. I found you're better off starting with the 4.0 form, and
duplicating your modifications, rather than using a previously modified 3.0
form. Particularly on the PO -- they changed the data structure and
calculations of the misc charges. Took a while to identify / remember all
the changes. But this time I made notes of all of them, hard copy as well
as in the report's embedded Summary Info. Should be almost easy next time
around.

We have been live on 4.0 for about a month now, and I'm just
starting to bring our customized forms up again (I've been using the
standard Vantage forms since going live). When I try to print preview our
revised PO form (added a logo and some text boxes), I get the following
error:

"Error in file links. Warning: Fields in the report from the file 'porel'
cannot be linked."

I have verified the database. Any direction from you folks?

I have CR 8.0 sitting on my desk; what problems do I need to watch
out for if I install that on my client? Will I have to fix overwritten DLLs?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but it is the same problem I had when I
tried to use the 3.0 customized form with 4.0. I just reformatted the new
4.0 one instead of bringing in the one from 3.0 and everything was fine.
Epicor must have changed something in the files in the po so that the links
created in the 3.0 form are no longer valid?
