There is a non-programmatic means to do exactly what you are trying to
accomplish. First, create an Access database with two fields: the image and
the linking key (employee ID in your example) then populate the database.

While Crystal doesn't support linking multiple data sources in any version
prior to 9, you can insert the image in a linked subreport. Here's the

Anyone out there that can give me an idea if you can and how to insert a
picture in crystal via a formula. For instance, I am trying to come up with
a report similar to the Employee badge in Report Builder, that has the
picture included, but can't seem to find how to do it in crystal...
That is, short of adding all the pictures on top of each other and then
conditional printing each of them...more than a little silly for my desired
task.
