Customer "acceptance" for KYC purposes

Hi,
as Know-Your-Customer (KYC) issues get more and more important in today’s world, I wonder if there is any way in Epicor that you could prevent a new customer from being used for order & invoice entry before the backgrounds (credit checks, related parties, and the like) have been checked? The same goes for suppliers, and additionally for suppliers that bank account information can not be changed without there being somebody accepting this change?
So in practice the process in the customer case would be that sales inputs all the necessary master data about the customer, but at that moment the customer is still “on hold”. After finance has checked the background data, finance would go in and “release” the customer.
Thanks for information!

Sure thing we did this with a couple of BPMs and a handful of UD fields
Customer can’t have an order against it until it’s marked as Approved you can use some of the Valid Sold To, Valid Bill To Flags to do this and just make those fields not maintainable by others
