Customization Not Showing Up For Some Users

I have made many customizations to the Part Menu over the last 2 years and i have never had a problem with users not seeing my customizations. I just recently added a new field, the same way i always have, but users cannot see my new customization. I have checked Menu Maintenance and the menu i customized is the one attached to the part menus. I read somewhere that a similar MES problem could be the cache is full? Not sure if that applies to Epicor as well as MES.

Is the new field added a new UD field that maybe has not been
synced/regened?

So, if it is just some users, not all users, it could be a favorites or user cache issue. But if it is all users then its something else.

I have had this happen with Users and found the “Clear Client Cache” resolved the issue

Another thing I have seen is when people log in different ways. That is SSO and non-SSO.

If you log on SSO and post a change, a user who logs in non-SSO may not see the change.

It doesn’t sound like it is applicable to your problem, but you never know.

This is one area where Epicor needs to do more work for deployment of uniform customization to all clients.
As an interim, we are following these steps to make sure, it will deployed well:

  1. Create a new customization name and deployed it to menu, it will always fetch new form to client
  2. If don’t rename the customization, clearing client catch will resolve the issue
  3. If both above options failed, then surely client Personalization was overriding the new customization.
    Delete this Personalization layer, that will fix the problem.
