In my resource groups and resources, the Daily Production Capacity is disabled (greyed out). Do we need advanced mfg module to use this feature?
Did you every figure this out? We have the same issue.
I did not. I am now using Epicor 9 (sadly) and it is also disabled. When I read the help, it’s not much help but based on what the help says about constraints on load, I do think this is part of an Advanced Scheduling module that we do not have.
I am surprised nobody responded for four years
Hi, i just got this note off EpicCare, hope it answers your question
The Daily Production Capacity is an estimated pieces limit. It represents how many total estimated pieces, not estimated hours that can be completed in the resource in one day (Times are dependent how the hours established in the Production Calendar).
This is available only if APS (Advance Planning and Scheding module is licensed and installed).
When the job is scheduled, the system checks the Prod Std in the Job Operation Detail screen first and then restricts the daily production using the other values (Daily Production Capacity and Production Consumption Rate). If the Prod Std is set to 0, then the Daily Production Capacity and Production Consumption Rate will be ignored.
Thanks - makes sense. It’s hard as a consultant where my client (Epicor version 9) does not know what they have. I’ve had some clients who didn’t have MRP, so we had to run Generate PO Suggestions daily. And V9 just plain sucks.
