Terry,
I ran across that once at Walco. I called Epicor service and they sent me over a file to remove that person from data collection. Then you just clock that person back in and all should be well.

Subject: [Vantage] data collection-valid employee 4.0
I have a DC user trying to clock out of data collection. I can see her
listed in the window but when I enter her clock number I get "A valid
employee ID is required". Checked the log files, event viewer-nothing. I
can select other employees in the window.
Some of you have run across this before. What to do?
