Yes, I've run one before but, as it states, at the specific request of Vantage support. There was a problem in the conversion of Sales Force (from Sales Person) records between 4.0 and 5.20 stemming back to our original conversion from Classic. They sent a modified version of one of the conversions that ran in the upgrade and directed me to run it again. Which fixed the problem. Aside from fixing problems and converting between releases I don't think there is much that is useful in there on a routine basis. If there was then there would probably be some documentation for how and when it is appropriate to run something. I think it is just a "hook" used to execute data fix routines in the context of the database you are connected to.

The help file states Running Database Conversions
Use this function to run conversion programs for your database.

THese seem to be something that should be run on a regular basis but

by Vantage Support
