Document associtions with 6.1

Todd,

I used the executable without any path (considering that many may have
different drives) and it works so far with all computers and ts servers:

ACRORD32.EXE "&1" using Acrobat Reader 7.0.

Good luck.

Todd, I placed the program executable for adobe in the root of
everyone's PC. As different versions were being installed, and being
placed in different directories, this was the easiest for me.

C:\acroRD32.exe "&1"

That's the path I use and it seems to work fine

Due to the many different versions of Acrobat I got tired of people installing different or multiple versions of Acrobat on their computers and calling me that they can't open PDF's now from Vantage. I ended up creating two small programs called PrintPDF and ViewPDF which I placed on the Vantage server and set the Document Associations to V:\mfgsys61\PrintPDF.exe &1 and V:\mfgsys61\ViewPDF.exe &1. The Programs read the users Windows registry for the correct association for PDF files and uses the path defined in the users windows registry to open the PDF file. Haven't had an issue since. ;)
