Trying to create a supplier price list with a UOM from a DualUOM Class. Despite automatically loading the Purchasing UOM in the Supplier UOM field the Supplier Price List program doesn’t load the conversion factor from the DualUOM Class and throws error Invalid UOM for this Part.
Version 10.2.700.8
I ended up abandoning the Dual UOM class and just created a part specific UOM on a normal Other type UOM class. Then having all the conversion factors in each part record for the Inventory Attribute Tracked parts.
Just had this come up today… Going to have to catch up on this! thanks for providing a solution to your own question.
You’re most welcome. This site has been a big help to me personally, so only right to give back where I can. There are quite a few other shortcomings with the Advanced UOM functionality that we’ve faced. Some that come to mind are;
Inventory Attribute Tracked Parts are not available for use in SRV or MNT jobs. This is something we overlooked initially but has become a major issue for us. We’ve developed a workaround that functions technically, but is complicated so difficult for the userbase. Still not available in 2023.2
Inventory Attribute Tracked Parts are not available in RFQ, although that has changed as of 2023.2
Some Part Transactions for Inventory Attribute Tracked Parts fail to update the AttributeSetID and related fields in PartTran. Namely PUR-STK reversal, PUR-INS reversal, STK-CUS for Counter Sale, ASM-INS. I’ve reported to Epicor who are investigating. We are currently on 10.2.700.29, not sure if this has been resolved in later versions.
We would really like to be able to force the user to transact the Number of Pieces in whole integers, but I’m not aware of a way to do that currently.
Happy to answer any questions you have.
