E10.2.300.3 Upgrade: Order Comments Issue

Hello,

We have recently upgrade from 10.1.400.38 to 10.2.300.3
We are seeing an issue with Sales Order Entry Comments:
OrderHed.OrderComment
x(1500)
nvarchar

Here is the scenario:

  1. in 10.1.400.38 even though this the field help shows the same as the upgraded version x(1500), the UI allowed for entering/saving beyond the 1500 characters.
  2. On my DEV 10.2.300.3 server we could also type in more than 1500 characters and save the order header comments.
  3. In the newly upgrade production environment 10.2.300.3. The UI freezes typing in comments beyond 1500 characters. It will allow you to delete. Funny thing is, it will also allow you to paste in more than 1500 charcters from notepad and still save correctly.

Hope this makes sense. If anyone seen similar before? I do not want to mess with the extended properties of a system column.
