Email issues - Service Connect and Epicor too

Yes, sorry I did not post (did not know if the message went through since this is the first response).

In our case, the issue was that the email needed to change from asynchronous to synchronous (The BPM was written outside and our first attempt at an email, so we did not know this). Nathan from Epicor helped me troubleshoot it. He also showed me there are two logs in the mfgwrk803 folder - epicor-smtp.log.txt and GlobalAlertsEmail.log. And a third helpful tip is to make a BAQ based on the AlertQue ( all fields).

Hopefully it is this easy for you too.

Karen,

Did you ever figure out what is going on with the BPM? I am having the same
issue. I've got a BAM that sends an email, so I know email is working.
However, the BPM doesn't send anything, and I verified it is triggering with
an info message.

Thanks.

Kevin Simon

Subject: [Vantage] Email issues - Service Connect and Epicor too

Hi,

I have a case logged for one of these issues...Recently we changed our email
server and I have made the changes in Service Connect output channel,
stopped and restarted all services. But, the email gives an error The server
response was: 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender
(same sender as used previously and this sender does work to send email from
TIE eVision software). In Service Connect, I can change the sender to myself
and it works (temporary solution) - but we really need to change back to
original sender.

Also, in Epicor, we made the change to the server IP address under company
configuration, email tab. We are trying to test a first BPM that uses email.
The BPM itself works since there is also an info message. How can I see what
is happening with the email? The global alerts/email log just shows
processing/completed each time.

Thanks in advance,
Karen
